Program Description:
Japan Development Scholarships for Filipinos (JDS) is created to help the public employees in obtaining a Master’s (MS) Degrees at Japanese universities in order to provide a high quality human resource to the government of the Philippines and to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Japan. The fields of study offered are determined in accordance with the development issues in the Philippines which includes Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Industrial Development.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a nationality of the Philippines and must be below 40 years of age as of April 1, 2010 (those who were born on/after April 2, 1970). You should be also a civilian government employee that is currently employed with permanent status and had a work experience in at least 2 years at the time of application. The performance rating of your work also must be of at least “very satisfactory” in the organization at the time of nomination. The academic background that you must also have should be Bachelor’s degree relevant to the target fields such as ICT and has not been awarded a foreign scholarship in Master’s Degree.
