PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The SSEAYP is an annual cultural exchange program sponsored by the government of Japan in cooperation with the ASEAN member countries for their youth to gather and discuss pertinent issues affecting the youth
today. The delegates will tour Japan and other ASEAN countries for 52 days on board a Japan luxury ship, meet State officials, interact with local youth, and experience living with local families. The National
Youth Commission implements this program in the Philippines.
All selected delegates must participate in all of the following activities:
Pre-departure Training: July 13 to 25, 2009
Pre-departure Activities: Sept. 27 to Oct. 26, 2009
Cruise: Oct. 27 to Dec. 18, 2009
Post-Program Evaluation: Dec. 18 to 20, 2009
WHO MAY APPLY
YOUTH PARTICIPANTS: Filipino youths between 18 to 30 years old as of April 1, 2009 (28 participants)
NATIONAL LEADERS: Filipino leader between 35 to 50 years old (1 leader needed)
