ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (University of Cebu – Banilad Honor’s Society)
High School Honor Graduates (among at least 60 graduates) are eligible to be members of The University of Cebu- Banilad Honor Society. The student must enroll the school year following his/her graduation from high school.
The following benefits are available for the first year:
Valedictorian – 100% discount on tuition fee for BSC & BSA, laboratory fees not included in other courses
Salutatorian – 75% discount on tuition fee. Pay registration fee and laboratory fees. Free in all other fees.
First Honorable Mention – 25% discount on tuition fee. Pay registration and laboratory fees. Free in all other fees.
Second and Third Honorable Mention – 10% discount on tuition fee. Pay registration and laboratory fee. 50% discount in all other fees.
Honors up to 10th Place – 10% discount on tuition fee. Pay registration, laboratory and all other fees.
The Scholar must apply to the Office of the Administrator for renewal of scholarship after obtaining a minimum average of 1.80. Failure to obtain the minimum required grade average means automatic dropping from the Honor Society.
NON-ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (Working Scholarships)
Working scholar applicants must submit the following documents: Grade (not less than 2.5 average for UC students 85% for the fresh High School graduate); Application Letter; Resume with 2×2 picture; Tax Exemption certificate of parent/s from BIR.
Applicants will be scheduled for an IQ Examination and thereafter be scheduled for an interview.
Working scholars are entitled to 100% discount on tuition fee of any four or five year course with an allowance of P4.50 per duty hour. They must maintain an average grade of 3.0 with no failing grade in any of his/her subjects. Working scholars are given a one semester contract. The department head after conducting semestral evaluation of the performance of the working scholars will decide whether to retain the working scholar or not.
