Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships
Scholarship granted by the Australian government to high-achievers in the Asia-Pacific to obtain Master’s or Doctorate course in any field of study for one academic year in Australia. Classes start in January 2008 and July 2008. Support include academic fees, contribution to living expenses, establishment allowance, health insurance, return air travel, and visa support.
Applicants must be Filipino citizens, college degree holders, with demonstrated leadership potential, and can commit to actively participate in Australian Scholarships alumni activities. The following are ineligible to apply: those holding Australian citizenship, permanent residence status, or in the process of applying; and those married or engaged to be married to someone who holds or who is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residence status.
Required documents include a completed application form, three reference letters, certified true copies of TOR, certified true copies of all university level diplomas, certified true copies of documents providing evidence of awards or prizes, certified true copies of birth certificate or personal data from passport, certified true copies of driver’s license or passport to prove identity, TOEFL (minimum score of 580, 237 for computer-based and 92 for internet-based) or IELTS academic test (minimum score 6.5), and Australian higher education institution unconditional Letter of Offer for enrolment by June 30, 2007.

Netherlands Fellowship Programmes PHD Studies 2008
Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC)
Scholarship granted by the Netherlands government for professionals to obtain PHD studies in the Netherlands. Support includes all costs in connection with the study but should not exceed €74,000.00.
Required documents include a completed application from, certified true copies of TOR, original acceptance letter from Netherlands host institution, endorsement letter from employer guaranteeing continuous payment of salary while applicant is studying, copy of passport or any proof of identity, birth certificate and one current photo.
Requirements must be submitted by mail to the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Manila, P.O. Box 2448, MCPO, Makati City, Metro Manila before the first of June or the first of October. British Chevening Scholarship
Scholarship granted by the British Council to Filipino students and professionals to obtain Master’s or Doctorate courses or conduct research at a UK institution of higher education for one academic year. Support includes academic fees, monthly stipend and return air travel.
Required documents include completed CHEV1 application form, cover letter, comprehensive resume, photocopy of Transcript of Records, IELTS test report, CHEV2 and other documents indicated in the CHEV1 application form, except for the MED 100. Application period is from February 1-July 31, 2007. Requirements must be submitted by mail to Ms. Liza Manahan, Public Affairs Officer, British Embassy, 17F L.V. Fulbright Graduate Student Program
Scholarship granted by the US government to Filipinos to obtain Master’s or Doctorate courses in any of the following fields of study: the study of American culture, life and society through such fields as government, education, arts and humanities, law, economics, literature, history, the multi-disciplinary field of American Studies or any other humanities or social science field with significant study of the US subject matter; study on global issues include the environment, human rights, civic education, governance and public administration, peace studies/conflict transformation, international relations and transnational issues, international economics, international business, international law, and information and communication technology (ICT); and such fields of study not covered by the first two field categories EXCEPT engineering, medicine, nursing, and other health-related disciplines, applied mathematics, and applied sciences. The grant covers a maximum of one academic year for non-degree, one to two years for master’s, and two years for doctoral degree studies. Classes start in September of every year.
Support includes academic fees, monthly stipend, book/supplies allowance, health and accident insurance, and return air travel. Applicants must be Filipino citizens, no older than 40 years old at the time of application (for degree programs), in good health, proficient in English, college degree holders with major in field of specialization, have excellent undergraduate record, have at least two years of professional work experience (after college) in their field of specialization, and must return to the Philippines immediately upon completion of study.
Applicants for doctoral enrichment must be enrolled in a relevant study program in a Philippine university. Applicants for doctoral dissertation must show proof that materials required to pursue research are available in the United States and not in the Philippines.
The following are ineligible to apply: holders of dual citizenship, permanent residents and/or are presently studying in the US, former Philippine Fulbright Student Program recipient, and residents of the United States for 5 consecutive years in the last 6 years.
Required documents include completed application form, four letters of reference, official or certified transcript of records from all colleges/universities attended, certified true copy of diploma. Application period is usually around December to March of every year.
