Rotary Center for Peace and Conflicts Study
Scholarship grant provided by Rotary International to citizens of countries with Rotary Club presence to attend a three-month course on conflict resolution and mediation strategies in Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Sessions are held from January to April and July to September.
Support includes partial or full costs for academic fees, meals, accommodation, return air travel, insurance, course materials and fieldwork expenses. Applicants must be proficient in the language of the host country, college degree holders, possess excellent leadership skills, should demonstrate a commitment to peace and understanding, through service, academic and professional achievements and have at least five years work experience on conflict resolution.
The following are ineligible to apply: Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, employees of Rotary International and its Rotary clubs and districts, employees of Chulalongkorn University, former Rotarians and employees of Chulalongkorn University within 36 months of resignation. Spouses, lineal descendants and their spouses, ancestors of Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians and Rotary employees are also ineligible.
Requirements must be submitted to the local Rotary clubs in time for them to select their candidates for district consideration around May and November of every year. Deadline for January 2008 session is on July 1, 2007.

Southeast Asian Language Training Grant Program
Southeast Asia Regional Exchange Program Foundation
Scholarship jointly funded by the Toyota Foundation and the Japan Foundation and administered by the SEASREP Foundation to Southeast Asian nationals to obtain a language training course in a recognized language training institute in the region (outside one’s country) or directly from a tutor for one to twelve months beginning April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. Support include academic fees, living allowance, tutor’s fee, book allowance, and return air travel.
Applicants must be aged 40 years old and below and enrolled in graduate programs in the social sciences or humanities in any university in Southeast Asia, or teaching at any university in Southeast Asia.
Required documents include an application form; letter of acceptance from the university for enrollment in a degree or non-degree course and/or letter of agreement from the tutor, including tuition or tutor’s fee; recommendation letter from faculty adviser in his/her department/institute assessing the student and justifying the need to acquire that language (for graduate students); and letter from the head of his/her department/institute explaining the need for such language proficiency from the point of view of the institution (for faculty member or researcher).

Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships
Rotary International
Scholarship grant provided by the respective local Rotary clubs for citizens of countries with Rotary Club presence to pursue intensive study in another country on any of the following languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish for a period of three or six months.
Support is given at a flat rate of US$10,000 or its equivalent for three months or US$15,000 or its equivalent for six months. Applicants must be proficient in the language of the proposed host country and have completed at least two years of college or equivalent professional experience.
The following are ineligible to apply: Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, employees of Rotary International and its Rotary clubs and districts and former Rotarians within 36 months of resignation. Spouses, lineal descendants and their spouses, and ancestors of Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians and Rotary employees are also ineligible.
