International Fellowships
American Association of University Women Educational Foundation
Fellowships granted by the AAUW Educational Foundation to women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents in the US to obtain full-time study or research at Master’s, Doctorate or Postdoctoral levels from July 1, 2008 up to June 30, 2009.
Support amounts to $18,000 for Master’s, $20,000 for Doctorate and $30,000 for Postdoctoral Fellowship. Applicants must be college degree holders by September 1, 2007, proficient in English, devote themselves fulltime to the proposed academic plan during the fellowship year, intend to return to their home countries after the fellowship, and must have applied by December 1, 2007, to an accredited US institution.
Required documents include an International Fellowship Application, and TOEFL (minimum score of 550, 213 for computer-based).
Application period is on August 1-December 1, 2007.

Senior International Fellows Program
The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society
Fellowships granted by The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society to “decision-makers in their professions interested in building Third-Sector capacity in their countries.” Fellows will be based at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York. Fellows are expected to attend weekly seminars, explore the work of key agencies and foundations, meet with nonprofit representatives and study U.S. and international community foundation models.
Support includes full academic fees, stipend of $1,300 per month, accommodation, and return air travel. Applicants must be senior-level practitioners, over 35 years old, non-US citizens, proficient in English, have a strong institutional base and a clear interest in working with the community foundation concept or with diaspora or corporate giving.
Fellows are expected to attend a 1-month seminar (October 14 to November 10, 2007) on U.S. and international voluntary sectors and produce a paper with recommendations for the development, adaptation or expansion of community foundations, or on corporate or diaspora philanthropy in his/her country or region.

Emerging Leaders International Fellows Program
The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society
Fellowships granted by The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society to scholars and practitioners interested in “building Third-Sector capacity in the United States and overseas. Fellows will be based at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York, where they design and pursue an individualized research project on community foundations, diaspora, or corporate philanthropy and participate in a seminar with Third-Sector leaders.”
Support includes full academic fees, stipend of $1,300 per month, accommodation, and return air travel.
Fellows are expected to attend selected workshops or conferences, participate in a three-month seminar (March 3 to May 30, 2008) on US and voluntary sectors and produce a 25-page research paper on their findings to be presented during the seminar.

East-West Center Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP)
Fellowship granted by the East-West Center to professionals with interest in the Asia Pacific region for a period of nine months from mid-August to mid-May in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Support value is at around $10,000. Applicants must be college degree holders.
“It is desirable that applicants have professional work experience, have international experience and aptitude, including overseas residence, language skills, inter-cultural and diversity exposure, leadership track record in professional, public and/or personal realms, volunteer and community service experience and have experience working collaboratively in small teams or in large groups.”
Required documents include a cover letter, curriculum vitae and TOEFL (minimum score of 550, 213 for computer-based and 79-80 for internet-based) or IELTS academic test (minimum score 6.0). Deadline for applications is around February of every year.

Rotary World Peace Fellowships
Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution
Scholarship granted by Rotary International to citizens of countries with Rotary Club presence to attend master’s-level degree programs in conflict resolution, peace studies, international relations, and other related disciplines for a 15 to 21 month period in any of the seven Rotary Centers for International Studies around the world.
Support includes academic fees, meals, accommodation, return air travel, contingency expenses, cost for applied field experience, and costs to attend conferences.
Applicants must be proficient in the language of the host country, college degree holders, possess excellent leadership skills, and should demonstrate a commitment to peace and understanding, through service, academic and professional achievements.
The following are ineligible to apply: Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, employees of Rotary International and its Rotary clubs and districts and former Rotarians within 36 months of resignation. Spouses, lineal descendants and their spouses, ancestors of Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians and Rotary employees are also ineligible.

SOUTHEAST ASIA
The Luisa Mallari Fellowship for M.A. and Ph.D. research in Southeast Asian Studies (including Ph.D study for highly meritorious cases)
Southeast Asia Regional Exchange Program Foundation
Scholarship jointly funded by the Toyota Foundation and the Japan Foundation and administered by the SEASREP Foundation to Southeast Asian master’s or doctoral students to conduct course work and/or thesis research, thesis writing, or in highly meritorious cases, to obtain Ph.D study.
Support includes living expenses, research costs, travel expenses, pre-dissertation expenses for researchers. Full support may be given for Ph.D study and may be renewed for a maximum of three years.
Applicants must be aged 40 years old and below and enrolled in graduate programs in the social sciences or humanities in any university in Southeast Asia. Required documents include an application form; recommendation letter; letter of acceptance from the university for enrollment in a Ph.D (for Ph.D applicants); and proof of acceptance of the research proposal from applicant’s faculty/department (for doctoral program).

International Awards Program
APA/Astra Zeneca Young Minds in Psychiatry
Award granted by the American Psychiatric Association and Astra Zeneca to promising international young psychiatrists within 5 years of completing a psychiatric residency to conduct research studies. Support amount is $45,000.00.
Required documents include a signed application form, letter of recommendation, curriculum vitae and proposal containing award utilization, title, summary, rationale, proposed activity, proposed utilization of funds, career development plans, funding support form, and essay on how the award can advance applicant’s career.

Echoing Green Fellowship Program
Fellowships granted by the Echoing Green to individuals “with innovative ideas for creating new models for tackling seemingly unsolvable social challenges for a period of two years. Fellows do not develop their ideas in an academic setting but work in the community. They launch, manage and grow organizations that implement and continually expand their ideas for creating lasting social change.”
Support includes financial and technical aid. Applicants must be aged 18 years or older, not former Echoing Green grantee, must be the primary decision maker for the program’s development and management, must fully commit to the project (at least 35 hours per week and resign from current employment), must commit at least two years for the project. Partnerships (no more than two individuals) may apply.
Non US applicants must conduct their projects outside of the US. Projects must be the original idea of the applicant, independent and autonomous, in a start-up phase. Projects not allowed are plans for research, lobbying activities, faith-based initiatives, and expansions of existing projects.
